The PC Client setup file that the user downloads is approximately 4MB in size. The PC Client requires approximately 16.7 MB of disk space when installed.

If I am backing up two folders and I then move a file from folder A to folder B, does the backed up file in folder A get deleted from the backup set?
If you physically move the file on disk, the PC Client doesn't detect that it is the same file. The net result is that one file is missing from Folder A (which can still be restored) and a new file is in Folder B (which will be backed up since that folder is being monitored for changes). The next step, if you no longer require the file in Folder A to be preserved in the Digital Vault, is to go into the Delete Files section of the PC Client and delete the file from Folder A that they no longer require to be backed up.

My computer died! How do I restore it?
Your first step is to get your computer reinstalled with all of the basic software which is required to get you back on-line, e.g. operating system, any networking software, etc. Once you are connected to the Internet, you can login to the Telio World Digital Media Suite website and download the Digital Vault PC Client and reinstall it. When you're installing, you'll have the option of associating your computer with your previously backed up computer. Once installed, you can then restore any backed up data to your PC.

How do I restore individual files to my PC?
Similar to the previous question, you can use the "Restore Data" wizard in the Telio Vault PC Client to select the individual files or folders that you would like to restore.

What does it mean when I restore files and some files are shown as being "skipped"?
If your Digital Vault PC Client settings are such that you are not automatically overwriting local files, any files that are attempted to be restored and already exist on your PC will be "skipped".

I changed my password and now my Backup Manager doesn't work. What do I do?
If you change your password through the Telio Digital Media Suite website, your Digital Vault PC Client will be out of sync. The next time the Vault PC Client tries to connect to the Digital Vault (for any operation, e.g. backup, restore, delete, etc.) the Vault PC Client will inform the user that their username and/or password is incorrect. You will the have the opportunity to update your password with your new one.

The drag-and-drop uploader isn't showing up but I have Java installed. What's the problem?

The date of my file is not the same as it is on my PC, why?

The photo thumbnail doesn't look like my photo, why?
The Telio World Digital Media Suite automatically generates thumbnails for your photos and uses a portion of the image from its center. Since most photos are taken with the subject in the middle of the picture, this portion is used so that the thumbnail is small, but also contains enough of the photos subject so that you'll know which picture it is.

How do I do a slideshow?
While viewing your photo albums, you can select one or more albums and click the "Slideshow" button. A separate browser window will pop-up to display your slideshow. You can also select a subset of photos from a single photo album to display a slideshow.

How do I import my Outlook contacts?
You first must export your contacts from Outlook or Outlook Express into a comma-separated value format (CSV). This is a standard format that you can choose to export your contacts as. Once you have this file you can use that to import into your Telio Digital Media Suite contacts. For more information, go to "Contacts" in the Telio Digital Media Suite and click on the "Import Contacts" button.
